About Andrea Goodman

For 18 years I've worked as a bookkeeper and accountant, 12 of them in real estate and construction. Most recently I managed full-cycle property accounting for a multi-million-dollar portfolio spanning 32 properties and 23 entities — commercial, market-rate residential, and LIHTC affordable housing.

Along the way I've kept books for businesses well outside real estate: transportation companies, law firms, gas stations, retail shops, food trucks, and vet clinics, plus two years with a tax service. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Lakeland, an Associate's in Accounting from Milwaukee Area Technical College, and a certificate in Computerized Accounting.

In 2020 I put that education and experience to work and started A Good Man's Bookkeeping LLC, so business owners could spend more time on their business and less on their books.

What that looks like in practice: for one client who traveled full-time, I ran a commercial property and two residential properties end to end for nearly four years — books, leasing, tenant relations, vendors, budgets, and reporting. When someone hands you their business while they're on the other side of the country, you learn quickly what "in good hands" actually means.

Most clients need something far less involved than that. But the standard doesn't change: accurate numbers, explained in plain language, from someone who picks up the phone. My job is to give you a clear picture of where your business stands and the guidance to act on it — less stress, fewer surprises at tax time, and more profit.
